For the first time since the early 90's, we have a full repress and remaster of some long desired classic music on the legendary Formation imprint.
These have all been remastered by Beau at Ten Eight Seven, and Beau has worked his magic to bring out the very best of these releases.
Where possible, we have added weight and depth to the tracks, without taking away from their original sound. Where we could not improve them, we left them as close to the original recordings as possible. We took a long time working on each track to make sure each one sounds as good as it possible can.
Nevertheless, some of the earlier Formations are by nature, quite rough and ready. This is not a fault of the mastering, the cut, or the source of the audio - this is how the original recording is. Some tracks were originally recorded in 8bit (most early rave was 16bit, whereas nowadays 24 or 32bit is standard), some of the earlier recordings are mono instead of stereo so lack depth in that respect, and some have distortion recorded into the recording.
These things are not really possible to upgrade or fix, although of course we have done all we can to make them the best they can be.
