*'For me it's nice to have a time of year and RSD collective, to make an album for where I can approach things differently, with record shops and album-lovers in mind first (before streaming and playlists) and step outside of my Emika blueprints - Fans can collect a different side to my work this way' - Emika.

*'After having a chat with Jim Barr (from the band Portishead) about using studios more as spaces for improvising (not only to hire one to finish pre-written songs in) I saw it both as an invitation and challenge, to spend a week in his Bristol studio jamming around' - Emika.
