The instrumental of this track was first conceived in 2012. Some years later MC SAS added the chorus. More time passed before MC Conrad wrote and recorded the verses. In the wake of Conrad's passing, as we tipped into 2025, I got to work revamping the beats - a retro aesthetic, more in line with Conrad's musical heritage.
For MC Conrad fans, this is an interesting piece of work. Firstly because it was unusual for Conrad to write to a 140bpm beat. It's also interesting because Conrad adopted an alter ego during the writing process. It's very much his 'periscope view' of life where he was living at the time, delivered lyrically in a way that would have been difficult as his usual persona.
MC SAS' chorus also holds a deeper meaning as that was written and recorded after the loss of his mother, further adding to the spirituality of this track.
