Alice Cooper - Welcome 2 My Nightmare (3LP) Alice Cooper
| With over five decades under his belt, Alice Cooper has firmly cemented his place as a living legend in rock history. From anthems like "School’s Out", "Poison", and "No More Mr. Nice Guy", Cooper has created timeless classics that continue to shape the sound of rock across generations. Known for his unmistakable raspy vocals, darkly theatrical stage shows, and a pioneering blend of shock rock and hard rock, Alice Cooper has spent more than 50 years setting stages ablaze across stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters around the globe. His macabre imagery, provocative lyrics, and unmatched showmanship have inspired countless artists and earned him a place among rock’s most influential icons. A Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of the genre’s most respected figures, Cooper has sold over 15 million records worldwide. Among his many achievements, Cooper’s 2011 release Welcome 2 My Nightmare stands out as a gripping sequel to his iconic 1975 concept album Welcome to My Nightmare. Revisiting the twisted world of Steven, the album blends nostalgia with modern flair. Originally intended as a sequel to Along Came a Spider, it features an all-star lineup including legendary songwriter Desmond Child and pop sensation Ke$ha, along with original Alice Cooper band members Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith to capture that authentic ’70s vibe. Now, Welcome 2 My Nightmare is being reissued in a newly mastered 2CD Digipak edition, as well as a special 3LP vinyl version that runs at 45 RPM for superior sound quality. The vinyl edition also includes 7 additional bonus tracks - among them powerful live versions of “Poison” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy” recorded at the Download Festival. Alice Cooper isn’t just a rock star - he’s a rock institution. And even after 55 years, the nightmare continues… and fans wouldn’t have it any other way. |
